Selectors from the Atlantic Region have named the players who will represent the region in the upcoming USACA Eastern Conference tournament. The series of games will be played from September 17th through 19th in Atlanta. The regional squad includes former Guyanese and West Indies test player Neil Mcgarrell and former Jamaican and West Indies test played Germaine Lawson.
The Atlantic Region after two open tryouts; one in New Jersey and the other in Washington, DC, short-listed 24 players from which the final team of 14 was selected and announced yesterday. The process was completed at Watsessing Park in New Jersey on Saturday July 31st.
Thanks to all the young men and the selectors who participated along with Coach Morgan and other volunteers. A practice game is scheduled between the U19 and a select team from the Millennium Cricket League on Saturday August 14th, the game starts at 11 AM.
New York - August 10, 2010: The Team USA men's squad departed for Bologna, Italy yesterday where they will compete against Argentina, Cayman Islands, Nepal, Tanzania and hosts Italy, in the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 Championships. The top two teams will advance to Division 3 and compete in that grouping in Hong Kong next January.
